Vacation Bible School

THANK YOU to everyone that made VBS 2011 a successful week of ministry!  We had a full house with 68 children….33 of whom attend Immanuel Trinity.  What a great outreach ministry for the community as a whole!  During the VBS worship service and ice cream social, $231 was collected for Crossways Camping Ministries’ mission project (through ELCA Good Gifts) that helps provide clean drinking water to countries and families in need.

Throughout the week, all ages of children were involved in worship, bible study, crafts, and energy burning activities.  Full day campers enjoyed afternoon activities such as field day with tug-o-war, judo demonstration by Club Olympia Judo Club, water day, and visiting the Woodlands Senior Park to share our music ministry with residents.  The children were enthralled with the judo demonstration – very entertaining!  Smiles were everywhere on Wednesday Water Day when the kids were allowed to get their counselors wet.  Thursday was filled with many blessings as children sang God’s praise and the Woodland residents smiled and clapped along.
