I feel richly blessed to be part of the Ministry team here at Immanuel-Trinity. Having been a part of the Lutheran faith for my entire life, I am so grateful to be in a position of teaching, encouraging, nurturing and guiding church goers of all ages to praise and glorify God through the gift of music. This is a calling for which I have had a life-time passion.
The daughter of a pastor, I grew up in a Lutheran parsonage and my mother was a church choir director and a musican. I've been singing in church for longer than I can remember, and Lutheran musical heritage has been, and is, a very important part of my life.
I received a B.A. in music from Bethany Lutheran College in Lindsborg, KS, and pursued graduate vocal studies at a variety of schools during the last two decades. I have been a private vocal instructor at Fond du Lac High School, Marian, Universty, UW Fond du Lac, and Lakeland College, as well as chorus teacher at St Mary's Springs High School for three years. Additionally, I have directed a number of choirs and participated in teaching Sunday School and Bible School at various churches.
I am the proud mother of twin adult daughters, Rachel and Rebecca.
In addition to parenting, singing and teaching, I also enjoy sewing and crafting, attending concerts and music festivals, traveling, history, visual arts, and socializing.
As the newly hired Christian Education/Youth Director of Immanuel-Trinity, I am blessed and honored to join fellow staff members and the congregation in a role that will enhance and continue the rich history of Lutheran theology and Christian education at I.T. I look forward to working with the Christian Education committee, dedicated volunteers, committed staff, and most importantly the youth of our congregation in order to provide the best possible Christian education program at all age levels.
I have had the pleasure of volunteering as the Daycamp/Vacation Bible School Coordinator for the last three years at I.T. and it is always exciting to witness the presence, praise and sharing of God's love each day on the faces and in the hearts of the campers, youth volunteers, and adult volunteers. I'm grateful for the opportunity to expand and share in the power of His love as Christian Education/Youth Director.
Hello! My name is Madelynn Knoespel and I am the new administrative assistant at Immanuel -Trinity Lutheran Church. You can call me "Maddie" since everyone who knows me does. I have met so many wonderful members of your church since I've started, and feel very blessed to be part of such a wonderful Christian family.
Previously, I have worked in retail market, the public school system, at another church as their administrative assistant and in human resources my resume is diversified but each position was joyful. Being part of a team that helps others has always been something that makes me happy and fulfilled. So, the job at Immanuel -Trinity seems to be a perfect fit.
I am married to Kurt who works for Vern's Cheese as the head of sales and sometimes route delivery driver when they are short on drivers and they always are!! Kurt's parents own Vern's Cheese so needless to say, we love cheese! I also have a son Christopher in Heaven.
We live at the edge of Kiel on an 8 acre parcel with tons of wildlife. Deer come up to our bird feeders as well as turkeys, pheasants, rabbits or hasenpfeffers (as my father-in-law calls them), sand hill cranes and every farm cat on the block. During summer I enjoy golfing and of course the Green Bay Packers in winter. I look forward to helping your church in any way I can!
