WELCA-Women of the ELCA
Mission:
The mission of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Purpose statement:
"As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world."
Membership:
All women of Immanuel-Trinity are encouraged and invited to share their gifts through leadership, committee work, circles and attendance at special events of the church. The leadership committee meets the Tuesday before the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.
Publications:
Updates and announcements for women's events and activities will be found in the monthly newsletter "The Beacon".
Action programs and activities:
Circles meet once a month for bible study and fellowship.
Chancel Guild- Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church @ 5:00 p.m.. The goal of the Chancel Guild is to keep the altar space beautiful and in good order, both to glorify God and provide a setting that enables the congregation to worship in a meaningful way.
Deborah Circle- Meets the 1st Thursday of the month at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church @ 7:00 p.m.. This circle provides two meals per month for "Solutions Center". School bag kits are all assembled as well as Health Kits.
Dorcas Quilting Circle- Meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church @ 9:00 a.m.This circle meets to assemble and sew quilts. They assemble, tie, and finish the quilts that are then sent to Lutheran World Relief. All of the quilts are made from donated materials.
Martha/Ruth Circle - Meets the 2nd Thursday C-Trinity Lutheran Church @ 1:00p.m. Many Layettes and sewing kits are assembled by this circle for Lutheran World Relief.

Women of Immanuel-Trinity: Rejoice!
That is the theme of the Bible Study for August 25. Please join your sisters in Christ for the last time this summer.
This session stands apart from the others. "Rejoice in the Lord" will look at the life of Miriam in the Old Testament, and the friends of a paralyzed man in Mark's Gospel.
How do we rejoice when things are complicated or un-resolved?
What feelings inspire rejoicing ?
Mark Your calendar for Thursday, August 25. Cookies and ice cream will be served at 1:00pm and at 1:30pm we will feast on God's Word. Bring a friend. We will see you at Immanuel-Trinity!
2011 Fall Festival
The annual Fall Festival will be held on October 18, 2011 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive.
A spaghetti dinner will be served from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
The festival booths to shop at consist of: Used Books/Second Hand Rose; Crafts; Bakery; General Store, and a Basket Silent Auction area.
There will be a raffle for some items: These will be announced later.
The annual Fall Festival held on October 19, 2010 was a hugh success. This year we plan to on making it bigger!
