Christian Education Ministry- Encourages an awareness of the Christ-centered purpose of Christian education and seeks a solid grounding in Holy Scripture.

The Christian Education Ministry consists of:

Cradle Roll-All children (birth to age 3) are enrolled in the cradle roll program, New Beginnings. This program consists of a series of mailings that provide developmental information from a Christian perspective for parents.

Childcare-Childcare is provided during our 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship services, seasonal midweek worship services, the Christmas Program, and the annual meeting.

Sunday School-Children may begin Sunday School at age 3. Children in grades 1-5 focus on one Bible story during a three-week rotation. The goal is in-depth knowledge. Some of our workshops include Music, Games, Science, Drama, Video, and Kitchen.

Adult Education-Christian education is ongoing; we never stop learning! Watch the church bulletin and newsletter for adult education opportunities.

Library-The library is staffed with volunteers during the education hour. Parishioners may use self-checkout during the week. There are many up-to-date books for people of all ages.

VBS-Vacation Bible School will be held at  Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church inf August,  2011.  Crossways Camping Ministries will be back to help lead the program.

Confirmation-Confirmation is a three-year program for the 6^th-8^th graders. Our curriculum is Here We Stand. During the three-year program, we study the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the small catechism.

Family Ministry- Building Blocks of Faith celebrates a milestone in the life of faith for each grade level. The family has been, is, and always will be the primary school of faith. The goal of Building Blocks is to help families keep their promises made to God in baptism and to help families build a stronger spiritual bond between parent and child.

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

August 15-19, 2011

 

Immanuel -Trinity Lutheran Church and Cross ways Camping Ministries will provide an unforgettable VBS program the week of August 15th. VBS will he held at Immanuel-Trinity, located at 20 Wisconsin American Drive.

This program is open to all children in our community. Invite your friends!

Children finishing 1st - 6th grade will attend Monday through Thursday, 9 am until 3 pm, and Friday, 9 am until noon. The cost is $20. Children in this group need to bring a lunch Monday through Thursday.

Children age 4 (by Sept. 1) through those finishing kindergarten will attend from 9 am until noon, Monday through Friday. The cost is $10.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1^st ,2011.

Please register early for planning purposes.

AFTERNOON EVENTS (for older age group)

Water Day (bring swim suit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle), Singing al Woodlands Senior Park, and other exciting activities - STAY TUNED!

CAMP-STYLE SERVICE & ICE CREAM SOCIAL

Crossways staff will lead a special camp-style service Thursday night and an ice cream social will follow! The kids will sing some of the songs they learn at VBS. Invite your friends and family!

DAILY CHECK-IN PROCESS

For the safety of our children, parents are required to sign their children in and out each day. Thank you for your cooperation.  Please do not bring children to VBS before 8:45.

5 bags of plain popcorn,

2 bags of cheese popcorn,

6 boxes of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios,

7 (1 Ib) Box Raisins,

8(12oz)Bag of M & M,

9 lbs of Sausage (please ask deli to slice,

9 lbs of Cheese (block form Cheddar or Colby-please ask deli to slice),

8 (1 Ib) Box of Ritz Crackers,

4 bags of pretzels,

6 bags of apples,

9 Two-pound containers VANILLA yogurT {not plain),

 2 Ibs seedless grapes,

4 Ibs strawberries,

7 boxes of granola,

10 gallons of vanilla ice cream,

 2 containers Hershey's chocolate syrup,

2 containers caramel topping,

1 container strawberry Topping,

8 gallons white milk,

8 gallons chocolate milk,

5 24-oz jars applesauce,

4 11-02 box Goldfish crackers (or whale crackers at Wal-Mart),

1 box (100 count} Ziploc snack size bags and 2 boxes (5O count] Ziploc sandwich bags.

WE NEED YOU !

Lots of help will be needed to make this program a success! Whether you are able to help out the entire week or just a day or two, your help will be truly appreciated! Adult and youth volunteers are needed to teach the younger age group, assist teachers, assist camp counselors, clean on Friday, work in the kitchen, greet parents, help with daily sign-in and check-out, usher and greet Thursday night, kitchen help for Thursday night's Ice cream social, etc,
