Our Fall Festival, October 10, 2017

WELCA would like to thank everyone for once again making our Fall Festival a success. We had delicious chili, many wonderful choices at the bakery, beautiful baskets and a great variety of crafts. Many people found treasures at the Second Hand Rose booth-we saw lots of bags go out the door from there. Your donations were all appreciated and put to good use.

We want to thank the Strong Women classes for their basket donations. Margaret Haak, the group leader, mentioned to each class that the church could use empty baskets for our raffle. So, each class decided to fill and donate a basket – or 2 – for the raffle. They bought tickets to try to win baskets as well.

Thank you to everyone for all of your generous help. We could not do this without you, and now we are able to make many donations to our church, Fond du Lac, and worldwide charities. We will count and report the earnings as soon as possible.

Thank you ,

Your WELCA Board

Later a WELCA financial report will be prepared to show how the proceeds or the profits of the Fall Festival will be distributed. We support ministries at Immanuel-Trinity, in the Fond du Lac community and around the world. Many thanks to the people who supported this event.

Growing in our faith relationship with God is a life-long endeavor. There are opportunities throughout the week (morning, afternoon and

evening) at which you can study God’s word. Learn how it instructs us in the ways of the Lord. Share your thoughts and feelings about what the Bible says and how it relates to daily life.

The Adult Education class meets in the Council meeting room near the South entrance to the Narthex on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. The Sunday morning class covers a variety of fascinating topics. Other Book Study classes are scheduled and meet in various available rooms.

Please join us for a spiritual, enriching time together!

  • What should I do?
  • Who am I becoming?

Join us as a group as we learn  together how to better think, act and be like Jesus or read the book on your own.

Study will start  September 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm

    in the Fireside room.

The study will be "Just Another Girl' story", The book is about a true life story of Laura Eckert and her journey through darkness and shame of her teenage years and sheds light on the controversial topic of abortion and her bout with teenage sex addiction.
